Chin’s Kitchen has anchored Portland’s Hollywood neighborhood since 1949, originally serving Americanized Chinese takeout beneath its now-iconic neon sign. In 2017, sisters Chang Feng “Wendy” and Chang “Cindy” Li purchased the restaurant, with Wendy, who was born in Harbin, bringing her hometown’s Northeastern Chinese dishes to Portland — making it the city’s first authentic Northeastern Chinese restaurant. The restaurant kept its original name at the landlord’s request, to match the antique sign out front. Chin’s has since been featured on Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and become known for handmade dumplings, house noodles, and hearty soups — a decades-old address reinvented without losing its neighborhood landmark status.
Prints are high resolution (300 DPI) and look even better in person than a computer/phone screen can show. Prints DO NOT have a watermark.

We warranty the electronics and the integrity of the art piece for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase. By “integrity”, we mean that we warranty the customization of the backing and framing materials. These are art pieces and should be handled with care and placed in normal, indoor environments. Not for use outdoors or in exceedingly humid environments. It’s recommended to keep your print out of direct sunlight.
We use the highest quality duratrans backlit film in the industry. Each print is produced on 10mm archival-grade backlit film, the same material used in museum lightboxes and high-end retail displays. Lit from behind by low-heat LEDs rather than old-style fluorescent tubes, the image is exposed to far less UV than traditional lightbox signage — which means the color stays rich and the blacks stay deep for years of everyday display.
Keep it out of direct sunlight, wipe the surface with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and it’ll hold its glow for a long time to come!
